Description: Copy of transcript for an agreement between Stephen F. Austin and Bartlett Sims, in which Austin agrees to pay Sims one half league of premium land by the Colorado River in exchange for improvements to the league at the head of Bay Prairie. Austin has already paid Sims cash for a portion of the cost of the improvements.

Description: Copy of transcript for surveying contract between Joshua Hadley and Elias R. Wightman, in which both men agree on the extent of the area that Hadley be responsible for surveying. Also agreed upon is the amount that Hadley will be paid per league and per quarter league, as well as, Wightman's responsibilities to plot and transcribe the notes and make reports to the central office.

Description: Copy of transcript for testimony of Isaac Gilbreth, in which Gilbreth provides a narrative of his experiences since leaving Missouri in 1825. Gilbreth is requesting reparations for the cruel treatment he suffered in Califonia, including unlawful imprisonment, denial of medical care, and refusal of permission to contact fellow countrymen in the area for assistance.
