Copy of transcript for a letter from Thomas R. Leaming to Stephen F. Austin, in which Leaming provides news on his progress in the case against Jacob xxx of Salem. Leaming also asks Austin to provide a description of the physical, economic, political, and social characteristics of the Austin colony, so that he can promote the colonization of the settlement. Finally, he asks Austin to provide data necessary to publish a map of Texas.
