Belton Journal
History
Published weekly since 1866, The Belton Journal still serves the people of Belton, the county seat of Bell County. The town was originally called Nolandville before changing its name in 1851 after then-Texas Gov. Peter Hansborough Bell.
Funding for the Journal was provided by a TexTreasures grant from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
