Since 1906 The Boerne Star has been the source for local news in Boerne and Kendall County, Texas. The Star is published every Tuesday and Friday, continuing the 111-year mission of documenting the history of the Boerne, Comfort, Fair Oaks Ranch and Kendall County areas for current and future generations. William Gammon Davis II purchased the Boerne Post and Star in 1906. He published the first issue under the combined title but the second issue was published under the title Boerne Star. The Davis family published the newspaper for seven decades. Today, the newspaper is published by Hill Country Newspapers, Inc., along with the Bandera Bulletin and the Leon Springs Community News.
