Description: Photograph of State Representative John Hannah introducing Charlie Wilson, President Pro-Tem of the Texas Senate, as Governor of Texas for a day at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation on December 2, 1972. State Representative Buddy Temple served as master of ceremonies and Judge Martin Dies Jr. swore Wilson into office. A reported 5,000 people were in attendance, including a complete National Guard unit that provided a 19-gun salute from 105mm howitzers.
