Citizens' Advocate
Founded in 1984 by former Copell Star newspaper editor and writer, Jean Murph, Citizens’ Advocate is Coppell Texas’s independently owned local newspaper. Created after the Coppell Star was ceased by the Coppell Government, Murph advocated for an honest community-centered newspaper publication. It’s here that it receives its name, Citizens’ Advocate, as it wishes to be the “people’s paper.”
After 35 years of print circulation, in 2020, Citizens’ Advocate has decided to publish their newspapers online, officially ending their printed publications.
