1883 Bastrop County Courthouse

Description: Photograph of the west side of the 1883 Bastrop County courthouse and the added second story walkway to the old jail. The first floor entrance was used for support and the door into the courthouse was put in a second floor window. The walkway is built of modern steel.

1883 Bastrop County Courthouse Interior

Description: Photograph of the west to east entrance hall of the 1883 Bastrop County courthouse. The north to south hall intersects in the center, cruciform style. There are arched entrance doors, arches in the halls, dark marble floors, lighter marble wainscot, dark wood trim, and a mix of light fixtures.

1891 Brunson Building Lower Front

Description: Photograph of lower front of the 1891 Brunson Building, currently occupied by the Live Oak Art Center, in downtown Columbus, Texas. The front is decorated in Victorian style with decorated steel columns and wooden Victorian style windows. The upper windows are sitting on a steel ledger course, which is sitting on the top of the columns under the brick lintel.

1891 Bunson Building Upper Front Detail

Description: Photograph of detail of the 1891 Charles Brunson building in down town Columbus, Texas. The building date is in the pediment near the center of the front of the building. The pediment is part of the metal cornice. The windows are framed by decorative brick pilasters and are capped with decorative metal caps. The wood window frames are arched at the top and sitting on a brick string course and ledger course. The adjoining building to the right was also built by Charles Brunson in 1896.
