[Harold Hansen Riding a Mechanical Thresher]

Description: Photograph of Harold Hansen looking at the camera while riding a mechanical thresher. He wears a 10 gallon hat and rests his hands on the thresher's wheel. Although partially covered by some of the machine's mechanism, there is text on the thresher that reads "FARMALL". A tall farmhouse is behind Harold. To the right of this building, there are barrels strewn about. A repeating, decorative border surrounds the photograph. On the back, there is stamped purple numbers, "1 1138", and an image/text combination that reads, "Guaranteed for life. This is a Genuine Border For Fox Tone Pictures made by Fox Co. San Antonio, Texas. Copyrighted by Carl Newton". Hand-written text also reads "Harold Hansen" and "1928".

Horses, Mules, and Model T

Description: Photograph of horses, mules, and a Model T car in a farmstead. The property is quite flat and empty except for a single-story structure in the background. The horses and the mules are harnessed together and appear to be dragging along farming equipment, possibly a plow, under the direction of a man behind them. The car is to the right of them, parked, and facing the camera. Behind the car, two cows can be seen; one on either side of the car.

Manifest from Ocean Liner in Danish

Description: Manifest document from an ocean liner written in Danish. There is an illustration on the top left corner of a flag. Centered on this flag is a letter "S" which has been placed inside an equilateral triangle. The manifest then goes on to list some information. At the bottom, the date is included in the bottom left corner. Opposite it are two lines of text which read, "M. S. ,, Rio Bravo ,," and "Kapt. F. Christiansen"; presumably, the name of the ship and captain.

Description: Set of six black and white portraits of a young girl, identified as Elenor Nielsen. She has on a light-colored v-neck top. Her hair is a short, curly bob with bangs. There are six different poses; four of them involve a wide-brimmed hat, a coat, or a bouquet of flowers. The other two poses feature Elenor simply smiling at the camera.

Description: A pair of black and white portraits, positioned side by side on a single strip, of a young girl posed against a black background. She is identified as Elenor Nielsen. She has short, curly hair with bangs. Her attire is light-colored and features a v-neck. In the first picture on the left, the girl is faced forward and has a small cluster of flowers positioned below her neck. In the second picture on the right, her head is turned 3/4 of the way toward the camera. A larger floral bouquet is positioned just below her chin. This strip has been cut from a larger sheet of Elenor's portraits.
