Herbert Herman Fiedler is looking under the hood of the car and two passengers are seated in the back of the vehicle, including Mrs. Frances Ann Lutcher. The vehicle has a broken clutch and a sprung valve. An American flag is visible on the right side of the car. The shadow of the photographer can be seen in the bottom foreground of the photograph. Description: Postcard of a stone structure with wooden ladders, with two young men, a woman, child, and small dog standing outside. The scene is described as "The Hopi House is an exact reproduction of a Hopi Indian pueblo. It is an irregular stone structure plastered with abode and rising three stories high. Here are Hopi men, women, and children. Some decorating and burning pottery, others spinning yarn and weaving squaw dresses and blankets, and perhaps some maiden weaving a basket." The message written on the back is illegible. The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. W. P. H. McFaddin 1906 McFaddin Beaumont, Tex."

[Official Notice of Jett Falls Appointment to Corporal]

Description: A certificate issued by the Army of the United States of America to commemorate Private Jett (Johnny, Jetty) Falls' increase in rank from Private to Corporal. It is a standard WWI issued form with blank spaces available for personalization. This form was completed by a Lt. Colonel (his signature is unreadable) at Camp Travis, Texas on April 11th 1918. The remaining filled spaces detail the Private Jett Falls, Co. E 359th Infantry had been promoted to Corporal of that same division on March 27th 1918.

Description: Postcard of a campus of two story buildings built in close proximity, described as "Birds-eye of section of the camp in which 40,000 men are in training for overseas warfare. Description: The Rev. Dr. Thomas McHutchin Cunningham (March 22, 1887 - March 3, 1979) wrote these letters to family members from April 14, 1918 to November 28, 1927. The letters detail his life as a minister in Texas and other locations. The letters are written from Stamford, Spur, Eliasville, Sherman, Gainesville, Orange, Boston (Mass.), Richmond (Va.), and Knoxville (Tn.). The letters detail church news, family life, and travel on the S.S. Leviaton in 1927 to visit London, Paris, and Jerusalem.

[Little Green School: First Grace Class, 1918]

Description: Photograph of the 1918 first grade class of League City School, also known as the big school. The class is arranged in three rows; the first two rows are seated while the third row is standing. Behind them is a wooden fence. According to writing on the back, the name of the girl seated at the end of the middle row is Flora Atkinson. Their teacher, Miss Labuzan, stands behind the class to the right.
