Automatic Weighing-Scale.

Description: Patent for an automatic weighing-scale meant to be connected to a pneumatic conveyer to weigh cotton, grain, or other products. The invention weighs "any amount to which its scale may be set, and then cutting off the supply and emptying itself, when it may be reset, preferably by hand, to repeat the weighing operation" (lines 18-22).

Awning Bracket.

Description: Patent for a new and improved awning bracket. This design "relates to awning-brackets of that class which are secured to the wall of the building over the sidewalk, and secure themselves without the use of posts, &c. Axle Box.

Description: Patent for a new and improved self-oiling axle box. This design utilizes a sleeve with several small, oil-filled holes to be placed between the spindle and the axle box, which lubricates the machine and reduces friction. A nut keeps the spindle and axle box together.

Description: Patent for a new and improved axle-box for locomotives. Description: Patent for a new and improved axle-lubricator. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the tube having the threaded outer end, of the cap threaded to close said end, and the shank or stem carrying the conical plug at its lower or inner end, and screw-threaded to work through a threaded perforation of the cap, a shoulder being provided on the stem or shank at the base of the threads, operating to cause the unscrewing of the cap by the continued turning of the shank or stem" (lines 80-89).

Axle Lubricator.

Description: Patent for a new and improved axle lubricator. This design "consist[s] of a box provided with bearings in which the axle works, and with a cellar below the said bearings for the reception of the waste for containing the lubricant; [and] . . . of a frame in which the box fits, . . . being provided with screws for elevating or depressing the box, whereby it may be kept always in contact with the axle . . . The object is to produce an axle or journal lubricator . . . [that] will keep the bearings of an axle or journal shaft thoroughly lubricated at all times, thereby preventing the same becoming heated and swelling" (lines 14-35).
