Texas and Indian Territory

Description: This map shows the state of Texas and Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma). The counties of Texas are labeled and shaded in various colors; regions of Indian Territory are outlined in red. Major cities, bodies of water and geographic features are marked (with relief marked by hachures). Additionally, completed and proposed railroads (as well as some other travel routes) are marked with red lines. There are three insets: "Mexico" and the "Western Part of Texas" in the lower left corner, and southern states west of Texas (parts of California, Arizona, and New Mexico) in the lower right corner.
