Description: Photograph of boy sitting on part of the mill structure. View of the back of the mill. Caption reads, "This old grist mill was built and operated by G. T. Rabb in 1871 and here the first ice in Austin was manufactured. Rabb sent to France for the ice-making machinery. The mill was located near the old Scout hut at Barton Springs and a spring and dam furnished the power for the plant."
