About the 1918 Foundation
A 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the 1918 Foundation was created in 2017 by local scout leaders to plan the celebrations for the 100th year of Boy Scout Troop 65 in Denton, Texas. The Foundation continues to operate by providing grants to scouts needing assistance with the costs of attending summer and high-adventure camps, annual dues, leadership training, and equipment.
About Boy Scout Troop 65
Boy Scout Troop 65 celebrated its 100th year in March, 2018. Throughout its history, it has been chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Denton. It is the oldest continuously chartered troop in Denton, and is also one of the oldest troops in Texas.
