Description: Copy of transcript for a letter from Israel McGready to James F. Perry, in which McGready informs Perry of outstanding legal fees owed for the George Craig and Nathan Montgomery lawsuits. McGready also reports on successes and failures in collecting accounts on Perry's behalf, as well as, the information he collected on behalf of Rhodes S. Fisher regarding land in Bellview. [an annotation from Perry indicates that the letter was answered on September 15, 1835 and Rhodes S. Fisher's letter to Perry on the subject of his land was enclosed]

Perry, in which Hutchison expresses his concern over recent changes to the colonization laws regarding United States citizens. Having previously made arrangements for land in the Mexican provinces, Hutchison requests further information from Perry regarding the political stability of the region.

McGready also updates Perry in regards to political changes in the state. McGready also asks Perry to collect a debt on his behalf, should the person owing McGready travel to Texas.
