[Antomine Andersen Christensen and Spinning Wheel]

Description: Copy print of an older woman, identified as Antomine Andersen Christensen, seated in a chair behind a spinning wheel. She wears a long-sleeve dress and glasses. She is outdoors, and in the distance, several trees can be seen. Accompanying information indicates that she was 90 years old at the time the picture was taken. Her daughter, Marie Christensen, married Chris Christensen and moved to Danevang, Texas.

[Berndt Family Siblings - Andreas, Marie, and Ingeborg]

Description: Color copy photograph of a black and white portrait of three children from the Berndt family. They are posed with a textured background behind them, an elegant rug beneath their feet, and a chair in the center of them. There is one boy and two girls, one of whom is an infant. The boy is Andreas Berndt, aged 7 years; he stands to the right of the chair and has one of his hands on the back. He is wearing a white shirt, a bow tie, dark shorts, and stockings. Marie, who was 3 years old at the time, stands on the other side of the chair from her brother. She is wearing a white dress, stockings, and two bows in her hair. Ingeborg, the youngest sibling, is seated in the ornate chair in a white baby's gown. She was 3 months old at the time. A note on the back of the photograph says that these are H.J. Berndt's children.

Child in Baby Carriage

Description: Copy print of a baby, identified as Ester Knudsen Hutson, in a baby carriage. She is wearing a long, light-colored gown with a decorative crochet trim running across the bottom of the garment. She is also wearing a large bonnet tied around her neck. The carriage seems to have been placed on a wooden patio, perhaps the front porch of a home.

[Confirmation Class of 1908, Danevang Lutheran Church]

Description: Black and white photograph of the Danevang Lutheran Church's Confirmation class of 1908, posed for a group picture outside of an unidentified building. Five young women are seated on a wooden bench in front of a row of eight young men who are accompanied by their Pastor, Soren Hamburg Madsen. Each individual is wearing a hat. Most of the girls' hats have floral embellishments on them. Everyone is dressed formally. The young women are wearing white, high-neck dresses that reach to the floor; their hands are clad in gloves. The young men are wearing suits and ties and simple, brimmed hats. Pastor Madsen is the only individual that is not completely facing the camera; he is turned 3/4 of the way.

Description: Photograph of a record written in Danish that reads, "Danevang, Texas Lars Larsen Vind son of Iver Ebbesen Vind and Hansigare Kristine Larsen born March 12 1896, baptized April 5 1896 in Danevang Meeting House by Pastor L. Henningsen."

Farmstead

Description: Copy print of a farmstead in Danevang, Texas. The photograph appears to have been taken a short distance away from a fence that runs the length of the property. Past the fence and a few small bushes, a group of people have seated themselves on chairs, presumably posing for the picture. Several horses, carriages, and men are to the left of these people; some of them have also stopped and turned towards the direction where the photograph was taken. In the distance, there is a two-story house with a gable roof and several windows on the first floor. On the leftmost part of the image, a second structure can be seen next to a large tree.
