Description: Photographic portrait of Richmond School Children , ca. 1883-1885. Photo shows man, two women, and 46 children. Photo is darkened and yellowed. It is mounted on a tan cardboard matte. Matte has all four corners broken off, with break at bottom left cutting across the image. Image is also torn along right edge near the bottom. Identifications were originally written in pencil on back of matte. Those that were dark enough to decipher were copied over in blue pen. Description: Colored Polaroid photograph of the Fairview Café with a 1964 Ford (green) car parked in front. The Café was located in the 3100 block , south side, of Avenue H in Rosenberg, Texas (the Fort Bend Federal Parking lot is now at this location). The Café is a white one story stucco building with red sign above entrance which proclaims: FAIRVIEW CAFÉ STEAKS SEA FOOD CHICKEN. Newspaper vending machines can be to the left on entrance. Back of photo has the Polaroid stamp. Fairview Café was built between 1932 and 1934 by Mr. Jess Ward and was later demolished in January 1979.

The Café was built between 1932 and 1934 by Jess Ward. It was demolished in 1979. The café was a one story white stucco building with sign above front entrance that reads: FAIRVIEW CAFÉ. STEAKS - SEA FOOD - CHICKEN. Newspaper vending machines can be seen to the left of the doorway. Small white building and a boat in far right background. Polaroid is stamped on the back.
