Description: Cabinet Portrait of Belle Ryon (Davis). In the full-length photograph, Belle is wearing a long sleeved jacket with bands of dark fabric across the center front, collar, sleeves, and near the bustle in back. The two layered skirting has the same dark strips at upper tier hem and again on sides of bottom pleated tier. A velvet sash of the darker color can be seen where the bottom and top tiers meet at Belle's side. Davis is standing to the left of a fireplace and has her hands crossed and on top of the mantle. An upholstered chair is to the left of the photograph and a window is in the background. The photograph is mounted on a cardboard substrate. Bottom of cardboard in black: "Cabinet Portrait. C. J. Wright, Houston." Back of photo in pencil: "Bell Ryon". Also on back in black print: an image of a camera at the top of a shield; bottom of banner reads " I HAVE ENGAGED THE SUN TO SHINE FOR ME." Below the shield is printed: C. J. WRIGHT, HOUSTON, TEXAS. All Negatives preserved. Duplicates may be obtained at any time." The backing is pink with circular patterns.

The photograph is mounted on a tan cardboard substrate with gold trimmed scalloped edging.
