The tree house was later added by the George's for Mary Jones, daughter of Mamie's cousin Henry Jones. According to the "1996 George Ranch Historical Park Interpreter Training Manual", the tree was planted in 1824 by Nancy Jones and the Georges later added the tree house for Mary Jones, daughter of Mamie George's cousin Henry Jones.
