Girl Scouts Cross Timbers Council
The Girl Scout Cross Timbers Council existed from 1956 to 2007. In 1956, a merger of the Cooke, Denton, Grayson, Montague and Wise County Girl Scout Councils formed the Cross Timbers Council. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas was born from the merger of the Cross Timbers, Red River Valley and Tejas Girl Scout Councils in 2007. Today, the Girl Scout of Northeast Texas serves 32 counties in Texas.
