Heritage House Museum
About the Museum
Located in the South Texas town of Orange, the Heritage House Museum was once the residence of upper-middle-class families from 1900 to 1929. It was originally at 809 Front Street, but was moved and restored to its original appearance to provide visitors with a gateway to the past.
Museum materials include photographs of early citizens, homes, churches, and schools; as well as business concerns such as shipping, farming, lumber mills, and oil exploration.
It is listed as a Recorded Historic Texas Landmark by the Texas Historical Commission.
