The Palacios Library

On June 15, 1910, 20 women organized and opened the Palacios Library. By the end of the year, it contained 104 members, 325 books, and $150 in the treasury. A narrowly framed building which was once the town box ball alley originally housed the Library, which today serves as an important institution in Palacios. A Tocker Foundation grant aided in digitization efforts.
