Plano Public Library

Plano Public Library has served the City of Plano since 1965. Plano Public Library serves a vibrant, diverse community just north of Dallas. Library staff engage our community with an array of virtual and in-person learning opportunities for all ages, access to technology, and a robust collection of print and digital resources at five library locations.

Plano Public Library’s Genealogy Center at Haggard Library is a hub for genealogical and historical research about Collin County and North Texas. The Genealogy Center’s print collection offers researchers extensive access to immigration records, historical maps, and various genealogical resources representing all 50 states in addition to providing informative classes and reference services. The Genealogy Center’s digital collection – Collin County Images – offers wide-ranging access to local history materials and serves a broad audience of local and remote researchers.
