Rice University's Woodson Research Center, part of the Fondren Library, has contributed digital copies of the Thresher, Rice's student newspaper, a Chinese newspaper representing Houston and Texan Chinese-Americans, and manuscript materials related to the Osterhout family (19th century Texas). The Woodson Research Center offers access to rare books, manuscripts, photographs, maps and more about Houston and Texas history, U.S. Civil War and higher education in Texas through the lens of university archives.
