Hoffie & Lank Wolters Shiner Public Library
The Hoffie & Lank Wolters Shiner Public Library was established by the combined efforts of the Friends of the Shiner Public Library, the City of Shiner and the generosity of the citizens of Shiner, Texas. On October 16, 1994, the library was dedicated and given to the City of Shiner to own and operate as a department of the city. By 1997, the library needed additional space. Mrs. Hoffie Wolters donated $434,000 to the Friends to build a library and cultural center. The Hoffie & Lank Wolters Shiner Public Library was dedicated on March 14, 1999. The name honors our generous library supporters and home town philanthropist.
