St. Edward’s University

St. Edward’s University is a dynamic, Catholic liberal arts university founded in 1881 in Austin, Texas, by Father Edward Sorin and Congregation of Holy Cross; it is the oldest institution of higher learning in Austin.

The St. Edward’s University newspaper, which has had many names, is a student-run weekly newspaper for the St. Edward’s University community. The St. Edward’s University newspaper, first published in 1888, has served many purposes throughout the years: it includes literary stories written by students, news and events from the campus, information about student life, sports, holiday celebrations, changes to the campus, as well as news and information about the national and world-wide Catholic community.
