Clutch.

Description: Patent for a simple and inexpensive clutch used for transmitting power. The clutch has "independent rotable disks that act on peripheral eccentric proportions, which are so arranged that the said disk will be held free from contact with the drive-shaft and the entire bearing of the clutch mechanism thrown on the grip members, whereby the shaft-apertures in the disks can be made sufficiently large to overcome any irregularity of the bearing-faces of the internal cam portions and obviating the necessity of providing outside collars" (lines 17-27).

Clutch Clamp.

Description: Patent for a new and improved clutch-clamp. This design "is to provide a simple and effective device for lowering or hoisting the pipe or rods of pumps into bored wells or other places, such as mines or shafts, and without injury to the pipe or rod, such device being not only readily and easily handled in connecting it to or disconnecting it from the object to be raised or lowered, but capable of being manufactured at comparatively small cost" (lines 20-29).

Coach and Car Step.

Description: Patent for an attached coach and car step "to render it unnecessary to carry stools or stepping-boxes, as are now used to facilitate passengers to get on or off the car or coach from an extra height between the ground or depot-floor and the main bottom tread of the step, thus avoiding dangerous and fatal results from overturning of stools and boxes." Coat-Adjuster.

Description: Patent for a machine that holds a coat for a person and puts it on that person, thus avoiding the need to personally put on a coat. Pivoted arms hold on to the coat and clamps are connected to the arms which hold on to the coat.

Coffee and Spice Mill.

Description: Patent for a new and improved mill for coffee and spices. This design "consists in constructing a coffee and spice mill with a hopper having arms for attaching the mill to a wall and for supporting the gear-wheel formed upon it, an inner cone-burr formed solid with the hopper, an outer shell-burr suspended from and swiveled to the inner burr by a cross-bar, rod, and hand-nut, and the gear-wheels and crank for rotating the outer-burr" (lines 22-30).

This design consists of "the combination of the case having the chambers and the hopper, the burr or grinding disk, fastened to the lower end of the inner side of the hopper and to the upper side or top of the chamber . . . shaft, having a disk, revolving in a covered recess or chamber in the burr, bridge, screws, and handle" (lines 57-65).

Description: Patent for a new and improved coffee-mill attachment. This design "is to provide an attachment for coffee-mills whereby a cup or other receptacle can be suspended beneath the discharge-spout of the mill to receive the ground coffee therefrom, and which vessel can also be easily and readily fitted or adjusted beneath or removed from the discharge-spout, and to provide means which can be applied very easily and readily to hand coffee-mills of any class, and which shall be simple in construction and inexpensive" (lines 16-26).

Description: Patent for a new and improved coffee pot. This design consists in "tubes having their upper ends bent downward, a bridge or cross-piece connecting their upper ends, the suspending-rods depending from the bridge, the ring on the lower ends of the suspending-rods, the [other] ring, and the separate strainer held removably between the two said rings" (lines 84-90).

Coffee Pot.

Description: Patent for a new and improved coffee pot. This design consists in "the cover, the jointed parts by means of which the cover is connected to the pot, and the guide through which the part has a sliding movement" (lines 79-83). This novel construction "is to produce a coffee pot in which the cover is made adjustable, so as to be adapted to close over the top of the pot, or to be dropped back out of the way when the condenser is used" (lines 17-21).

Description: Patent for a coffee pot that has "a movable handle whereby the same may be placed on the opposite side of the pot from the spout or to one side thereof as may be preferred" (lines 18-21). Description: Patent for a new and improved coffee roaster. This design "provides a means whereby [one] can utilize the heretofore wasted heat ascending the stove-pipe to roast coffee and other similar articles, thereby securing for other purposes the large amount of space over or near the fire heretofore occupied by the coffee-roaster; and the invention consists in a novel construction and arrangement of parts" (lines 13-21).
