Description: Patent for a signal of the nature indicated including a signal arm controlled in novel manner and movable from one position to another, the signal arm being inoperative in one position, and when moved to the other position being visible to other vehicles and pedestrians both in front and in rear, to warn them of the intention of the operator driver to turn.

Caster.

Description: Patent for a new and improved insect-killing furniture-caster. This design "consists in a cup shaped shell having a bowl or liquid-receptacle at its lower edge and a filling orifice or passage extending through the shell and leading to the bottom of the liquid-receptacle. A socket or inwardly-projecting tube at the top of the shell encircles the shank of the caster and rests upon a shoulder on said shank, which serves to hold the insect guard in position" (lines 17-25).

Cleaner for Gun Barrels.

Description: Patent for a new and improved cleaner for gun barrels. This design "consists of a brush or cleaner formed in the main of spring metal, (preferably of brass,) and provided with bristles beveled at their free ends, so set in suitable holding parts as that when unconfined said bristles will move outward from a common axis and bear against the inner surface of a gun barrel when placed within the same" (lines 13-20).

The sign consists of a box with an inner reflective coating, an interior light source (bulb), and front-facing circular cutouts with translucent coverings, the latter arranged to depict the sign text.

Saw-Gin.

Description: Patent for improvements in cotton-gins by having two compartments, one above the other. “The upper roll-box being especially adapted to raw cotton and the lower one to half-ginned cotton as the lint and seeds are only partially separated in one roll-box and are then delivered into another, where the operation is completed.” (Lines 24-29) This operation used less time to separate the seed and lint.
