Bale Tie.

Description: Patent for a new and improved bale tie. This design "consists of a buckle or tie consisting of a base-plate having one or more projections or hooks on its face, to one of which is permanently secured one end of the wire or band, while the other end is passed around the bale and secured to the opposite hook or projection" (lines 21-27).

Description: Patent for a simple and inexpensive convertible corn sheller and grater that, when shelling, can fill a receptacle without spilling or clogging. The sheller also separates dust from the corn. The grater is easily removable for cleaning.

Description: Patent for an improvement on a previous faucet, patent no. 539,633. This faucet is "a valve-seat consisting of a cylinder having an internal shoulder, a tubular valve operating within said cylinder and below said shoulder, a packing-ring carried by said valve and engaging said shoulder, a piston-road attached to said valve for operating the same, and a drop-valve in the lower end of said tubular valve, substantially as specified" (lines 60-69)

Gate for Railway Tracks.

Description: Patent for a new and improved gate. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a shaft crossing a railway-track and provided with weighted depending ends, with rollers connected eccentrically to said ends, a gate connected to said shaft, and lever and bar apparatus for operating said weighted ends from the vicinity of the rails" (lines 41-47).

Gate Latch.

Description: Patent for a new and improved gate-latch. This design "relates to gate-latches; and it has for its object to provide a device of this character which will be simple in construction and efficient in operation, and to provide a gate-latch that not only permits the gate to be opened in both directions, but also prevents the same from being opened or lifted from its hinges by the stock, and also a latch that can be easily manipulated without dismounting from the horse" (lines 8-17).

Description: Patent for a new and improved heel-brace. This design "consist[s] in a semi-circular rim provided with two downward side extensions, the lower ends of said extensions being provided with inwardly extending lugs adapted to lie under the heel of a boot or shoe, said rim being also provided on its rear side with a downwardly-extending projection shorter than the side extensions, the lower ends of the extensions being provided with openings for the reception of screws" (lines 63-73).
