Car Coupling.

Description: Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. Combined Cotton Separator and Distributer.

Description: Patent for a simple and efficient cotton separator and distributor that elevates and moves cotton from a wagon into a gin. It has supply and suction pipes, an air-tight cotton distributing box with an opening on one side and a gravity drop door on the other, a mechanism that moves the box in and out of the line of suction of the pipes, and a group of circular distributing boxes that rotate between the pipes.

Description: Patent for a new and improved oil press mat. This design consists in "having its body portion composed of card-board cut to the size of the press-box, the adjacent faces being covered with sheet metal, which is pressed or stamped into the paper body to give the required cavity, which is bounded by raised margins and transverse ribs struck up from the metal, and supported by paper strips interposed between the layers of card-board, the two leaves of the mat having a leather backing and being hinged together" (lines 15-25).

Description: Patent for a new and improved washing-machine. This design is "to provide a machine having an oscillating and revolving rubber, means for securing the rubber to the operating-shaft, and to provide bearings for said shaft which may be adjusted to compensate for any wear of parts. A further object is to provide adjustable legs, whereby one side of the machine may be raised or lowered, thus decreasing or increasing the pressure of the rubber upon the articles being washed" (lines 17-27).
