Description: Patent for adjusting devices for compressing rolls which “employed for compressing into a continuous thin sheet cotton fiber; and the objects in view are to provide a simple and convenient means for binding the rolls in contact, and when so bound to prevent any undesired yielding.” (Lines 10-15) Illustration is included.

Description: Patent for improvements in animal-treads when “animal is placed in the tread, the single or double tree being attached to the arm c’, and thus in addition to his weight he will have his strength to operate the tread. Apparatus for Handling and Cleaning Seed-Cotton.

Description: Patent for improvements in apparatus for handling and cleaning seed-cotton by “conveying cotton through a pneumatic tube and for automatically delivering therefrom to each of a series of gins an amount of cleaned cotton graduated at all times to the need of each gin. The flow of the main current in the tube is not interrupted by the several subtractions.” (Lines 17-23) Illustration is included.

Base Ball Game.

Description: Patent for a new and improved board game. This design "consists of a game-board marked out to represent a baseball field and provided with a series of marked depressions and a number of baffle-pins, guideways, or gutters being arranged in either side of the board, and a back-stop being arranged at the upper end of the board, provision being made for imparting a proper inclination to the board and for the propulsion of marbles through the gutters or troughs" (lines 13-22).

Description: Patent for a new and improved blank book. This design "consists in securing blank sheets to a binding forming the back of the book . . . so that the attachment and detachment of the sheets may be conveniently effected. This design is for an addition to existing boot-jacks that allows for wet or tight boots to be removed completely after the heel of the foot is loosened, all without the use of hands.
