Construction of Privy-Vaults.

Description: Patent for an improvement of privy-vaults using a soil-pipe with sleeve adapted to be connected with the trap-door of the vault-floor into an air-chamber where a ventilating-pipe is placed directly above a furnace; the noxious gases along with the products of combustion in the furnace would be drawn from the air-chamber and carried off to the outer air. Illustration is included.

Description: Patent for improved swing attachment for cuspidors in which “a cuspidor may be pivotally connected with a seat or equivalent support, held in horizontal position while connected, and rendered capable of being swung out from or beneath the seat and expeditiously and conveniently removed when necessary.” (Lines 11-17) Illustration is included.
