Bag Holder and Filler.

Description: Patent for a new and improved bag holder and filler. This design "consists of an expansible bag holding and filling funnel composed of a metallic strip having overlapping edges and provided with attached spring-wires, such funnel being capable of contraction to enter a bag, and of expanding therein for the purpose of holding and filling the bag" (lines 13-19).

Cotton-Chopper.

Description: Patent for improvements in cotton-chopper by using a combination of revolving disk, fender disks, a rotary shaft and cultivator-blades to construct a machine that is able to thin and cultivate cotton. Illustration is included.

Feed Trough.

Description: Patent for a new and improved feed trough. This design "is to provide a portable feed rack and trough adapted to hold a quantity of feed and to discharge the same as is found necessary" (lines 10-13). It consists in "a platform mounted on runners and provided at its sides with troughs, bins arranged at the ends of the platforms and provided at the lower ends of their sides with openings" (lines 99-102). It further consists in "slides arranged in . . . recesses and adapted to vary the size of said openings, strips arranged on the outer edges of the inclined bars, and set-screws connecting the strips" (lines 3-7).

Drag Saw.

Description: Patent for a new and improved drag-saw. This design "consist[s] of a standard, two beams connected to the standard on opposite sides thereof, a crank-shaft held by the standard, suitable drive-gearing for operating the same, a pitman connecting the crank-shaft and the saw, a pendulum attached to the saw and the pitman at one end and to a sliding head-block at the other end, the head-block sliding in the slotted standards and having a rack-bar extended therefrom, a pawl engaging the rack, the operating-cord attached to the head-block and passing over a guide-pulley on the slotted standards" (lines 4-16).

Detaching Device for Wheel-Hubs.

Description: Patent for an attachment for a wheel-hub that allows for the hub to be quickly and easily removed or engaged. The invention does not require a nut wrench; "devices for screwing and unscrewing the axle nut are carried by the wheel-hub, and are always in proper position for immediate use whenever it is necessary to detach the nut" (lines 16-19).
