The 1911 Majestic Theater in Fort Worth

Description: Photograph of Commerce Street in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Majestic Theater is in the center of the frame with many signs and posters on it. Some read, "The St. Louis Limited. Road Through The Ozarks. Frisco Lines" Another poster reads, "Majestic, Venus, Alpha Sextette". This is Fort Worth's second Majestic Theater, built in 1911. Next to the theater is a building with awnings and a sign that reads, "Fisk Tires, Gasoline". Telephone poles and wires and horse-drawn buggies line the road.

Description: Photograph of a large group of schoolchildren with their teacher in front of the 6th Ward School House in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1893. There are twenty-five boys, seventeen girls and one teacher. Some of the boys are seated or kneeling in the front row and the girls are taking up most of the middle row, standing. The boys are wearing knickers and jackets with boots and the girls are wearing dresses with jackets. There is a very large wooden door and arched doorway behind the group.

Description: Photograph taken around in 1896 of A Monday Morning Shipment from the Aermotor Company's branch house at Ft. Worth Texas. There is a two-story stone building with several broken glass windows. Next to it there are men atop five horse-drawn carriages containing windmill parts and signs reading "The Aeromotor Chicago." Aeromotor is a windmill building company based in Chicago and was founded in 1888.
