Description: Clipping of the back cover of Trains Magazine. There is a photo of T&P train #610 on the tracks. The Caption reads "En route to the site of The Great Dynamometer Test, Southern's ex-Texas & Pacific 2-10-4 is eased down 2.1 per cent toward Old Fort, N. C., by Engineer Frank Clodfelter. The Texas type, only survivor of original Lima Super-Power design, was working an Asheville-Salisbury excursion on July 29, 1977, when photographed near Andrews Geyser." Description: Clipping of a captioned photograph of SR train #610. There is a plume of smoke rising from the engine. The caption reads: "Ex-Texas & Pacific No. 610 is back in action on July 15, leading a Southern Railway excursion at Efland, NC. The Greensboro-Raleigh round trip drew a big crowd for part of the Lima engine's second season on the Southern. The 610 is leased by the railroad from a private Texas foundation." Description: Photograph of two large, decorative stone gravestone, surrounded by a decorative, dark-colored metal fence separating the two from the rest of a cemetery. The name on the left gravestone is "Little Tollie Baines," while the name on the left gravestone is "Cynthia W. Baines." The left gravestone includes a depiction of a handshake, a date of death, the age of the deceased at the time of their death, and a short saying in etched script. The right gravestone includes decorative depictions of flowers, fruit, and a dove; the deceased's date of birth and death; and two short sayings in etched script. Two other headstones are partially visible inside the fence - one in front of the two larger gravestones and the other behind the right gravestones. Three rectangle stickers on the back of the photo indicate Tollie Baines was George W. Baines's son and Cynthia W. Baines was George W. Baines's wife.

[Jim Gardner - Governor Sign]

Description: Photograph of a red sign with white text that says "Jim Gardner" above a line and "Governor" below. Narrative by Junebug Clark: This was an election poster I picked up after election day, somewhere down South. I had a brother in law, Jim Gardner, that I planned to give this to. I mounted it and before I was able to give it to him, Jim passed away. It kind of "slipped" here in to the collection. More of a personal memory and treasure.
