[Three Bandos from the Marques de Croix]

Description: Manuscript of a Bando from the Viceroy Marques de Croix letting the Governor of Nuevo Santander that the fleet has arrived in Veracruz. The first printed edict is from the Marques concerning the eradication of the Jesuit School of Thought; none may teach nor any university allow their books in their possession. The printed Bando is from the Marques and contains a referral by the King to a previous "Real Cedula" where religious authorities are not to give asylum to criminals hiding in churches.
