Description: Macario Ramirez was born in 1937 in San Antonio. His family were migrant farm workers and traveled to the Midwest every year. He was in the military from 1956-59. Upon his return from the war, he gets involved in War on Poverty programs. Mr. Ramirez worked in Labor Training Programs in San Antonio, which eventually leads him to move to D.C. and work with a Man Power Training Program through the Department of Labor.
