Baberini Exultet Roll

Description: Photograph of the Baberini Exultet Roll facsimile. This reproduction of a rare scroll of the Romanesque period is an example of illuminated manuscripts of the period. The Exultet is the ceremonial doxology sung in the Christian liturgy during the celebration of the Easter Vigil. The work arose from the commission of Abbot Desiderius.
