Mine Exterior with Workers

Description: Copy negative of the Rudefehu mine. In the picture a big number of workers are seen standing and sitting around the rail carts. Most of them are wearing dark clothing with jackets and hats. In the background there is a building, also a lot of wood is stacked in piles next to the building. Mining Sulfur.

Description: Patent for a method of mining sulfur and other things that have similar melting points that is less expensive and more efficient than previous methods. A machine sprays hot fluid at fissures where the mineral exists, melts it, and carries it away in the stream.
