[Oak Street Hall, 1951]

Description: Photograph of Oak Street Hall at North Texas State College. The east wing was the original part of the building, build in 1941-1942, as a two story, brick veneer apartment house erected by Mrs. W. J. McConnell. It was built to house one hundred women. A later addition increased the space and allowed another one hundred and twenty-five to be housed.

The Education Building was completed in 1918 and was designed in part to house the Demonstration School, which moved into it in 1919. The building was torn down in 1980.
