Carl & Gertrude Hansen Home

Description: Photograph of a two-story, red brick home in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Carl and Gertrude Hansen. The photograph was taken from the street, capturing the front lawn and a fairly large palm tree on the right side of the image. The house has a gable roof. There are two double hung-windows side by side in the front pediment. The front door is visible just underneath it. A series of bushes line the edge of the house on the left side. On the back of the photograph, three stamps have been made of the same leaping fox logo and the accompanying text that reads, "Fox Photo. This paper manufactured by Kodak Jul 85 - HOU".

Description: Black and white photograph of the Danevang Lutheran Church Confirmation class of 1945. The class is composed of several young men and young women who are accompanied by their Reverend, Vaghn Duus, who is standing on the far left on the back row. They are all wearing formal wear; the girls are wearing white dresses and the boys are wearing suits. Each individual has a floral boutonniere pinned to their clothing. Behind the group is a set of open wooden doors.

[Boy Scouts Field Day in El Campo, Texas]

Description: Black and white photograph of a large group of boys that make up a chapter of the Boy Scouts of America. According to the title written on the photograph, they are all cub scouts from Wharton County and they are posing for a portrait to commemorate a summer field day. Positioned in front of the side of a wooden cabin, they are arranged in four rows with the first row seated with their legs crossed and the second row seated on a bench. Four adult scout leaders are present; one is sitting on the first row with the boys, one is standing to the left of the group, and two are on the right.

Danevang School

The girls wear long, light-colored dresses belted at the waist. The boys wear formal attire. Three names have been provided for the boys but it cannot be stated with certainty to whom they apply. Black, rough patches of paper on the back of the postcard remain on each corner from wherever it was torn out of.
