Bridge Between Port Arthur and Orange, Texas

Description: Photographic postcard of the cantilever bridge crossing the Neches River in Southeast Texas. It connects Port Arthur with Bridge City in Orange County. It is the highest bridge in Texas and is now known as the Rainbow Bridge. The card was mailed Dec 10, 1950 from Orange, Texas.

[John Dollinger Jr., Inc. barge]

Description: Photograph of the first barge purchased by John Dollinger Jr., Inc., anchored at the Port of Beaumont. The barge was purchased from U. S. Steel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1949. A group of men are in the process of loading it with steel products with the help of a crane. In the background are warehouse buildings, a crane, and a watertower.
