1910 Central School Class Photo

Description: Photograph of a group of children and an adult female standing before a building with two windows. The children are variously dressed in pants, shorts, and dresses. None of them are wearing shoes. The adult woman on the far right wears a light-colored top and a floor-length, full skirt. Description: Photograph of adolescent boys and girls from the Danevang School's seventh and eighth grade class. They stand on paved sidewalk in front of a series of large bushes, with one of the windows from a building visible in the very back. From left to right, the back row has been identified as Donald Lykke, Gilbert Nelsen, Gunnar Thyssen, Norma Andersen, Mrs. Bell, and Louise Hansen. From left to right, the front row has been identified as Holger Thyssen, Kenneth Strarup, Donald Nielsen, Elaine Hansen, Ellnora Hansen, and Dagmar Thyssen.

[Confirmation Class]

Description: Copy print of a group of adolescent boys and girls at their confirmation in front of the Danevang Lutheran Church. The structure behind them has two double-hung windows and horizontal siding. A concrete step can be seen on the leftmost part of the image where a young child stands holding to a railing. The girls and boys are dressed in formal attire in similar cut dresses and suits, respectively. In addition, they all have small corsages pinned to their chests. From left to right, they have been identified as Holger Thyssen, Norma Carlsen, Rodger Andersen, Elaine Hansen, Pastor Vaghn Duus, Jergen Gann, Louise Hansen, and Erling Smith.

Carl Thyssen Family

Description: Photograph of members of the Thyssen family standing outdoors in front of a large bush. [Boy Scouts Biting Into Watermelon Slices]

Description: Photograph of the Boy Scouts of America standing before a single-story structure with the word "Douglass" written on it. The children, with the exception of a few who are in the back, are wearing traditional Boy Scout uniforms: shirts with button-flap pockets, caps, and neckerchiefs. They are all holding large slices of watermelons; some are biting into them. An adult female and an adult male are in the back on the right. Although names have been provided, they can only be applied with certainty to the first three children on the left - Kenneth Strarup, Donald Lykke, and Carl Hansen - and to the last five on the right - Lester Wind, Gertrude Hansen, Leroy Strarup, Lawrence Harton, and Carl Marius Hansen Sr.
