Social hour was enjoyed at the home of Marentze and Wilber Webb, Jr., with many of her close friends. Bertha Andersen was born in Denmark on April 3rd, 1868 and died in Danevang November 30th, 1941. A medium-sized bush partially obscures the people on the left side of the photograph. From right to left, the three people on the right side are Helga Thyssen, Mrs. Viggo Juhl, and Marius Thyssen. The sixth person from the left is possibly Carl Thyssen. The eighth person from the left has been identified as Mrs. Mads Andersen. The tenth person from the left has been identified as Aunt Johanna Thyssen. From left to right, the three adults seated in the front row have been identified as Ida N. Thyssen, Afred Thyssen on her lap, Hans Nygaard, and Sine Nygaard. Four of the five children on the ground in the very front row have been identified left to right as Anders Thyssen, Magdalene Thyssen, Gerda Thyssen, and Ingeborg Thyssen.

Description: Photograph of church members of the Danevang Lutheran Church during Sunday worship service. Men and woman are seated on benches, looking down at their held papers. Three of the man in the back row have been identified, front to back, as Andrew Berndt, Fred Swendsen, and Emil Svensson. In the front, three of the individuals have been identified as Otto Harton, Marius Thyssen, unknown, and Emilie Nelsen. Hand-written text in pencil on the back of the photograph reads, "Worship at DLC 1970's".

Marius & Helga Thyssen Home

Description: Photograph of two-story structure in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Marius and Helga Thyssen. The photograph was taken some distance away, capturing a front lawn which has been cut short. There are tall trees on each side of the house. Intersecting gable roofs cover the second floor, while sloping roofs cover the overhangs of the first floor. Each is supported by slender columns. Hand-written text on the back of the photograph reads, "Helga Thyssen home in country where Curti (hard to tell what this word says) Jensen home is in 1986 for archives [sic]."

Marius & Helga Thyssen Home

Description: Photograph of a two-story structure in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Marius and Helga Thyssen. The photograph was taken some distance from the front entrance, capturing a dirt pathway where a car be seen parked on the rightmost part of the image and a tree near the house that towers over it. There are four outdoor chairs on each side of the pathway leading to the front steps as well as decorative planters. The house has white siding and intersecting, shingled gable roofs. The entrance has a hip roof overhang with a single slender column on the left corner.

Description: Photograph of two men standing side by side outdoors near a small bush. Behind them, there is a tall structure with various domed openings and a palm tree off to the left. The man on the left, identified as Marius Thyssen, wears a three-piece suit and banded hat. The man to the right of him, identified as Carl Thyssen, wears a military uniform which consists of boots, slouchy pants, round brim hat, a long-sleeve shirt with button-flap pockets, and a slender dark tie. He holds a cigarette in his left hand.
