Description: Letter from Edgar F. Sadd to his wife, Lois Sadd. Edgar writes from Treasure Island in San Francisco, California. The letter was postmarked August 20, 1945, from Pearl Harbor. He discusses providing Lois with a new postal address, and describes how the servicemen reacted to the Japanese acceptance of peace terms and the later announcement that there was no confirmation of the event. Edgar mentions an insurance letter he wrote for Lois and thanks her for a page from the Digest she sent him.
