Description: Patent for a new and improved file case. This design "[t]he combination, with a case, of the pockets constructed in a series of a single piece of material having partitions formed by long folds connected at the bottom by short folds . . . [and t]he combination, with the folded pockets, of the file case having its sides constructed to overlap a part of the ends of the pockets, and an elastic follower with thumb-pieces arranged to bind with the sides of the case by straightening" (lines 9-24).

Gun Case.

Description: Patent for a new and improved gun case. This design "is to provide a case for guns which shall be capable of receiving and enclosing the whole gun, or of being separated into two parts, one part adapted to receive the barrel or barrels, and the other the breech, when the barrels are separated from the breech. . . . so far . . . the parts of the case have always been inseparably connected, or even if they could be taken apart they could not be joined together to make one complete case" (lines 9-26).

Description: Patent for a new and improved folding packing-case. This design "consists in the construction of a folding packing-case with a bottom tray adapted to receive the inner detachable partitions of the case when it is folded up for transportation, and with a lid formed with flanges adapted to overlap and inclose and thus protect the edges of the sides and ends of the case and tray when folded down, so that it will the more securely withstand rough handling in shipment, and in providing ventilating-apertures in the sides of the case, to be left open or closed at pleasure" (lines 19-30).
