Description: Photograph of Brahman cattle in a pasture on the George Ranch. White fencing and two prominent trees in background. The photograph was in the process of being retouched but was not finished. Two cattle, one on far left and one near center, were being taken out of the photograph by painting with similar background colors; however they were not fully removed. Pencil marks (lines and arrows) in the white border around perimeter of photograph. Written on back of photograph in pencil: "Do not flop negative 4 X 21/2 and 3 [circled]". A label attached to the back in black print and in pencil: "Art Engraving Co. Job No. 5434 [line] 4 Wanted Fri For Webb (?) Account Line R. Description: Photograph of Jean Kiger, exhibitor of a Short Horn steer produced on the George Ranch. The steer has a banner proclaiming it a Champion at the Houston Fat Stock Show and Livestock Exposition in 1940. Kiger is holding the lead rope of the haltered steer in her left hand. Albert Peyton George is standing to her right. Four other unidentified men are standing behind the steer. The photograph was taken in the indoor arena. Criss-crossed metal partitions in background separate the crowd from the auction area. Stamped on back in black: "David J. Morris Official Livestock Photographer Houston Fat Stock Show Houston, Texas [and in pencil] meg 2192".

The stall number 627 is written on the wooden partition near the sign displaying Neidig's name.
