[Soldiers Posing with Armored Vehicles]

Description: Photograph of two unidentified soldiers wearing uniforms with helmets posing with a half-track armored vehicle that is in a line of parked vehicles. One man is seated on the hood of the vehicle with his legs crossed and the other man is standing to the left. The line of vehicles includes another half-track vehicle partially visible at right and several tanks in the background. The vehicle hood is marked "U.S.A. W-403606" and there is a star on the side of the personnel section at the back.

[2nd Infantry Division on Parade]

Description: Photograph of two M8 Greyhound armored scout cars from the 2nd Infantry Division on parade through downtown Austin. Following almost a year of combat in the European Theater, the 2nd Infantry Division was stationed in Texas to train up for deployment to the Pacific, which never happened due to the war's ending.

Description: Photograph of American troops on parade through downtown Austin. The soldiers are riding in the back of 6x6 "deuce and a halfs" (CCKW350) which are towing 105mm howitzer cannons. The unit is probably part of either the 36th Infantry Division or the 2nd Infantry Division.
