[Big Bend cave painting]

Description: Photograph of a Big Bend cave painting that includes a picture of a cave buffalo in the upper-left quadrant, a small picture of a buffalo in the upper-right quadrant, and a picture of a caveman in the lower-left corner of the photograph. The image accompanied a written speech, with the caption: "The climate changed, and food shortages caused the Jumanos to become buffalo hunters, as evidenced by this cave painting" (p. 3).

Heritage Room Scroll

Description: Mural on south wall of Heritage Room, depicting 17 scenes throughout the history of northeast Tarrant County, from the coming of the settlers from Missouri to DFW Airport. The mural, which measures 20' x 8' was painted by five local artists: Evelyn Schmidt, Joy Clifton, Freddie Fisher, Rebecca Maus, and J. Paul Davidson in 1975 as part of the college's celebration of the US Bicentennial.

Description: This is a watercolor depicting a two story four square home. The sidewalk and yard also appear in the painting. A handwritten note on the back explains that this house was built just north of Louise Roll's house. It burned in 1945.
