Patrolmen Sending Messages by Carrier Pigeons

Description: Photograph of border patrolmen releasing carrier pigeons to send a message to other stations. They have just caught and arrested some smugglers of sotol, a drink like tequila, in the town of Shafter, Texas. It was a dangerous job and many border patrolmen were wounded or died in the line of duty.
