[Bill of Sale and Transfer from George L. Leigh to John A. Bonnell]

Description: Bill of sale from George L. Leigh to John A. Bonnell acknowledging the sale of land and 110 heads of cattle. The note goes on to say that this "transfer and Bill of Sale is made on the following terms and conditions to secure the payment of a promissory note for $782.66" from Bonnell, payable on May 1, 1887. The check included in the record is worth $716.66 from John A. Bonnell to Edward A. Leigh.

[Two Documents Relating to Land Tracts and Sales]

Description: Two documents related to separate tracts of land, one is a drawing of a piece of land belonging to George Bigford and the other is a promissory note from George L. Leigh to Joseph Heimen. On the back of the map there is a note describing the location and borders of the land belonging to Bigford. The promissory note states that George promises "to pay to the order of Joseph Heimen, Six Hundred Dollars at Comfort, Texas with 9% interest...from date until paid." This note "is given for the part purchase money for 320 acres of land situated in Kerr County."

[Land Grant Certificate Presented to George L. Leigh, October 25, 1890]

Description: Land grant certificate presented to George L. Leigh and signed by the governor of Texas, L. S. Ross. This grant to George, his heirs or assigns "forever Three Hundred and Twenty (320) acres of land." The rest of the certificate references the specified land and details the perimeter and borders of it in terms of longitude and latitude degrees as well as compass directions.
